ORGANISING YOUR MAKEUP
BY NATALIE - FOUNDER OF TEAM TIDY
SEPTEMBER 2020
COVID 19 has assisted households all over Victoria to become an organised space from pantry organisation, linen cupboard organisation and even handbag organisation!
With a further 3 weeks of harsh lockdown measures ahead are you struggling to find your next project? How about tackling the dreaded makeup situation? Whether you are currently storing your makeup up within a bag, drawer, box etc. we have some handy tips for you.
Before we begin sharing our favourite makeup organisation products, we would suggest sorting through your current items and throwing out any items that aren’t being used or are just too old to be used (goodbye to that glitter eyeshadow we wore to Year 9 Formal).
Now is the time to cull down your makeup and beauty products to those that you truly use enough to warrant space in your makeup bag or drawer!
Expiration Dates -
Checking your make expiration date is easy. Check for the little open looking container symbol on your product such as the example below: -
Makeup Brushes -
Keeping your brushes in a simple jar is a cost effective and easy way to maintain the chaos. Keeping them away from everything else can help keep them clean and in good working order.
General Makeup Organiser -
Having an all in one clear caddy makes organising smaller collections simple.
Lipsticks -
If you have a love of lipsticks storing them in clear containers is the best way to easily locate that specific shade that you have been meaning to wear.
Makeup Bags -
If you prefer to keep your makeup stored in a bag, then we suggest keeping only a small to medium sized bag for daily use. This will help deter you from keeping too many items for too long.
